Age-Friendly Action Plan

The City of Oceanside joined the AARP Age-Friendly Network on April 7, 2024. The City is working with the Center for Excellence in Aging & Longevity at the San Diego State University Social Policy Institute to develop a 5-year action plan. The City hosted several listening and action planning sessions  to gather community input about needs and priorities that would make Oceanside more livable.  This 5-year action plan was developed based on information gathered during the public outreach.

Movie at the Pier: Star Wars Weekend!

Join us for a galaxy of fun at our Star Wars-themed Movie at the Pier on Saturday, May 2, from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM! Enjoy an evening filled with crafts and fun activities as we get ready for a movie under the stars.

Come dressed as your favorite Star Wars character—Jedi, Sith, Wookiee, or droid—and be part of the fun! Keep an eye out for special guest appearances before the show—you won’t want to miss your chance for photos and meet-and-greets.

The movie will begin at sunset (approximately 7:30 PM), so be sure to arrive early to grab a good spot. Blankets and low-back chairs are recommended.
