Age-Friendly Action Plan

The City of Oceanside joined the AARP Age-Friendly Network on April 7, 2024. The City is working with the Center for Excellence in Aging & Longevity at the San Diego State University Social Policy Institute to develop a 5-year action plan. The City hosted several listening and action planning sessions  to gather community input about needs and priorities that would make Oceanside more livable.  This 5-year action plan was developed based on information gathered during the public outreach.

Mermaid Pirate Pool Party

Join us for an unforgettable aquatic adventure at the Mermaid Pirate Pool Party! Come dressed as a mermaid or pirate, and get ready to dive into the fun! The party will take place at the William A. Wagner Aquatic Center on Saturday, May 23rd from 1:00pm-4:00pm.

Swim with mermaids, walk the plank with pirates, participate in a treasure hunt, and compete in fun water games and challenges!
Tickets are $7 per person and kids ages 3 and under are free. Grab your sunscreen, towels, and pirate hats or mermaid tails, and join us for a splashing good time at the Mermaid Pirate Pool Party!

Note: Only Coast Guard-Approved Personal Flotation Devices are allowed.

Kids under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Parents/guardians can fill out a waiver for kids 12-16 to use the facility without a parent/guardian present. Parent or guardian must have a valid ticket.

Swim tests are required to use the diving boards.

Parking is limited so alternate modes of transportation or drop-off/pick-ups are encouraged.
