Age-Friendly Action Plan

The City of Oceanside joined the AARP Age-Friendly Network on April 7, 2024. The City is working with the Center for Excellence in Aging & Longevity at the San Diego State University Social Policy Institute to develop a 5-year action plan. The City hosted several listening and action planning sessions  to gather community input about needs and priorities that would make Oceanside more livable.  This 5-year action plan was developed based on information gathered during the public outreach.

Concert in the Park

Join us for a FREE Concert in the Park featuring Savor: A Santana Tribute! 🎶🎸 The concert will take place at Mance Buchanon Park on Friday, August 4th.

5:00pm – 6:00pm - Salsa & Bachata Lesson
From 5pm to 6pm, Vedanza Dance Studio will be offering a lively salsa and bachata lesson! Whether you're a seasoned dancer or a complete beginner, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn some new moves and get into the groove!

6:00pm – 8:00pm - Headliner: Savor: A Santana Tribute
Savor: A Santana Tribute is a band that captures the essence and energy of the legendary Carlos Santana! Their incredible performance will transport you to the heyday of Santana's iconic sound, with captivating renditions of hits like "Smooth," "Oye Como Va," and many more. Get ready to be mesmerized by their outstanding musicianship and infectious rhythms!

Remember to bring your beach chairs and blankets! Food trucks and family-friendly activities will be available at the event.

Parking is limited! We encourage carpooling, biking, taking transit, or walking. Bikers, walkers, and transit takers can stop by our booth for a free gift.
